BTO Sports – KTM Team Announcement – Andrew Short
Miami, FL (Feb.19) –Team BTO Sports – KTM is proud to announce the addition of top 450 SX and MX rider, # 29 Andrew Short, to the team. Short who currently sits 7th in points in the 2013 AMA Monster Energy Supercross series, will make his debut for the team this coming weekend in Atlanta, GA at round 8 of the series. Short will be competing aboard a BTO Sports – KTM 450 SX-F factory backed machine, and will contest the remainder of the 2013 Supercross series, as well as the 2013 Outdoor Motocross series.
“We are very excited to have Short joining our team. With both of our long existing relationships with FLY Racing and WPS, it has been something we have wanted to put together for a long time – and now we have the chance to go racing together. We look forward to Andrew being a great addition and asset to our team”, says team owner/manager Forrest Butler.
Short brings to the table with him some high credentials. As a past winner in 450 SX and with numerous podium finishes in 450 MX, he is no doubt a great asset to team BTO. “Andrew is a great rider and he is one of the biggest names in the sport. He is also known as one of the nice guys, and that is something that is very important to team BTO and BTO Sports in general. We work hard to surround ourselves with good people, and I truly feel that Andrew will bring a lot to our team, our fans and our loyal BTO customers”.
Atlanta SX will also mark the teams return to the east coast, and second to Daytona, the teams closest to home race on the tour. It is also home to some of the teams key sponsors and partners, all of whom are excited have Short joining the team. “Shorty brings a lot to the table for us as a team, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him debuting at our home race in Atlanta” says team partner Scott Witt. “Goerke has been having a great SX season for us thus far, and our KTM’s have been nothing but top notch. I am very excited to see just what we can accomplish together this season”.
